Bleisch's productions were surprisingly ambitious for the time. According to investigative sources, his films featured scripted narratives and dialogue, targeting niche audiences interested in pederastic themes. Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the Bleisch case is the payment structure he used to coerce children. A 1998 investigative book titled Der Oscar Wilde von Schwerin details how Bleisch monetized the exploitation. According to a partially redacted interview with Bleisch himself, the standard rates for the boys were: 100 German Marks for masturbation, 150 Marks for oral sex, and 200 Marks for intercourse.
