The archive begins with the 1966 theatrical film Saibôgu 009 , directed by Yugo Serikawa. This 65-minute feature was followed by Monster Wars in 1967. The 1968 TV series followed suit, running 26 episodes. Archival records indicate a unique production quirk: the Black Ghost organization was renamed "Ghost Alliance" in this run, and the team of 9 rarely appeared fully united (only appearing together in episodes 3, 14, 24, and 26), a detail preserved in the episode guides of the Ishinomori archives.
