The (painter) was actually the predecessor to AMTEmu (AMT Emulator). Although they look similar, they come from different engineers. In 2016, PainteR updated his tool, but many users reported bugs. Another developer (sometimes listed under a similar alias) released AMTEmu V0.9.2 to fix the stability issues that Universal Patcher had.
