8 Bit Jazz Band [patched]

The defining characteristic of jazz is improvisation. In an 8-bit jazz arrangement, the original game theme serves as the "head" (the main melody played at the beginning and end of a song). In between, the band opens up the track for soloists. A keyboardist might take a modal solo over the Tetris theme, or a saxophonist might trade phrases with a drummer over the Metroid underworld music. Pioneers and Prominent Ensembles
