Motion analysis is the cornerstone of a bicycle confinement lab. These systems use high-speed cameras to track reflective markers placed on key points of a rider's body, such as joints. While 2D systems are still used, labs are increasingly adopting sophisticated 3D systems with up to eight or more cameras, capturing movements from a 360-degree angle with sub-millimeter precision.
