The story is set in a scenic, mountain village, against the backdrop of the monsoon. Moved by this, the spirited Rajjo makes a simple, heartfelt wish: to get a new pair of shoes for her hardworking mother. However, Manorama is fiercely opposed to Rajjo's athletic nature, threatening to burn her feet if she catches her running. Despite this threat, Rajjo's passion for running cannot be contained, and she secretly runs to the fish market and later to the village fair to earn money for the shoes.
