After Mirakichi ceased work on versions prior to v3.41, two other developers, E P and dlanor, took over the project and released an version called uLaunchELF . The 'u' signified that it was the community's unofficial continuation of the project. E P and dlanor continued updating uLaunchELF up to version v4.42d, with version 4.12 standing out as a particularly stable and feature-packed milestone.

Once the installation is complete, turn off your PS2 and remove your uLaunchELF DVD. Insert the newly programmed FMCB memory card into the first slot ( mc0: ) and turn the console on.
