The cargo, wrapped in simple burlap and emitting a faint, cheerful gurgle, turned out to be a cluster of slimes bound for a researcher’s study. Fischl, delighted at the prospect of an unusual adventure, accepted with a bow so deep that Oz, perched on her shoulder, pretended not to notice.
